I’m heading to Vegas later today for a girls weekend get-away! But before I head out, I have to wrap up my revisions on DOUBLE DARE, book two in The Chronicles of Katrina. And isn’t that a lovely cover? (TY Victoria Colotta!) DOUBLE DARE (Sept 24) picks up right where THE DARE (out now) leaves off and I have to say, I think I smiled and laughed and yeah, did a lot of squirming in my chair, as I wrote this story, then any other story I have ever written. And I’ve written a few. ^_~. I love Simon like a shark loves blood (ty Kelsey Cole for the shark loves blood line).
The story is hilariously sexy. DOUBLE DARE has its serious parts too. But seriously, ladies, I just can’t say enough about Simon, my green-eyed cop hero. His sense of humor and his patience with the uptight Katrina have won me over ten times over. He’s just so damn sexy, I can’ stand it. Seriously, he’s THAT sexy!
Now, as of the writing of this blog (11 p.m. Thursday night [hey, why wait when you can procrastinate?]), I still have a long way to go on the above mentioned revisions, and because I feel bad about not engaging your lovely brains with a Pulitzer Prize winning blog today; to make myself feel better for deserting you, I’m offering a $20 BN or Amazon egiftcert to a randomly selected commenter who answers this question with a simple yes or no: Have you ever gone somewhere where the term, What happens at/in <insert city/town/event>, stays at/in <insert city/town/event>. applies to you?
If the answer is, yes, no explanation necessary, but feel free to share if you dare. ^_~
Have a great weekend, I know I will!
No…I haven’t had the pleasure 🙁 Have a great time in Vegas. I hear they half naked men running around all over the place, but primarily at The Rio 😉 I’m not saying that from personal knowledge either 😉
Peace and love,
Paula R.
no nekkid men chasing for me, Paula. but if I change my mind, I certainly know where to go, not that my friend Paula know to direct me that way…
I’ve been to a couple cities where what happens there definitely ought to stay there, but whether I actually did anything to be ashamed of while I was in either place??
This is the point where I could let y’all wonder, but since I’m pretty boring, the answer is No.
Beth, it doesn’t have to be something to be ashamed of. Hell some of the best kept secrets are shameless! hah! I’m going to use that line. xo
I’ve most definitely been to several places where that applies (Vegas and Amsterdam come to mind), but I’ve never had to apply the old adage personally. I’m either really boring or have no sense of shame, haha. Though I definitely get some odd looks whenever I say “So I was at a Chippendales show with my mum this one time…”. Maybe it’s a European thing :P. Have fun in Vegas!
Chippendales, Cris? are they those two cute little chipmunks? ^_~
My comment is no comment. 😉 Have an awesome time and a safe trip.
and, Holly my comment on your no comment, comment, is *.*
Have a great time in Vegas with no guilt!!
thank you, B.J. and for sure no guilt from this girl!
No, I have never been to Vegas. I have been to Reno. Have a great trip!
Misty, it’s been quite a while since I’ve been to Vegas. I’m very excited to go back!
I’ve been to Vegas a couple of times, but I was with my parents so there are no great stories. Nor any what happens in…stays in …. from trips I have taken without them, sigh……….
Anne the last time I was in Vegas, hubby and I took my in-laws and all of the kids! This time, momma is flying solo!
I have been to Vegas a few times for conferences. There is only one time that I might have gotten carried away, all I will admit to is that I got a few free drinks.
Kind of. My trip to Myrtle Beach in June o visit family had its moments… We embarrassed my aunt pretty good on her 50th b-day and got it in video. Going to the bathroom at the karaoke bar and the door didn’t lock. And I’m not gonna finish that was an experience. This trip was the first time my sister, cousins and I have all been together since all of them have turned 21! 😉
Have fun in Vegas, Karin. I was in Vegas for a wedding, but didn’t have much time to indulge in all the fun that Sin City offers. I’ve also been to Bangkok, but we steered cleared of some of the seedier places.
Love Vegas. Sadly no, it does not apply to me. However, “what is gambled in Vegas, stays in Vegas”, seems to be a recurring theme for me. My wallet is most always emptier when I leave. HAVE FUN!!
Have g
Fun was just there. Too with the girls.
Have not done that lol, Ty for the prise
