Think your book is ready to publish? Maybe not.
This blog was originally published two years ago today at the Kill Zone, and the link popped up in my facebook feed. It’s not only as relevant as it was two year
I love this time of year. The cool, crisp air. The shorter days, the leaves, football, Halloween, warm fires and comfort food. I love to cook, but when it comes to comfort food the hubster seems to take the cake. Mostly his attempts/experiments are flops (although he’ll beg to differ). But he does do a few things well, and some things he does exceptionally well, like Hawaiian sliders. O.M.GEE! You gotta try them! They’re easy to make and oh so delish to eat. And you can’t eat just one or two, you will seriously want to face plant into the entire tray! I love this recipe so much, it inspired this blog today. Of course whenever I find something good, I share, so here it is, my new fave comfort food, Hawaiian Sliders. Try them, you’ll love them! What’s your favorite comfort food?

Many of you who know my husband personally, know I have had from day one of my writing journey, his unconditional support. He’s my go-to guy when I need help with fight scenes, cop talk, cop procedure, suspense plots, bitch session or need to tweak (not to be confused with twerk) that hot cop alpha POV that I not only live with on a daily basis, but write about (hey, I write what I know). I honestly don’t think I would have ever published had he not been along with me each step of the way. He has never turned down any request I have made of him when it comes to the story. Or to write a poem. Along For The Ride was one such request. A couple of years ago, I was on a crazy deadline schedule, had no time or brain cells available to think about a blog much less write one. As he always does, he came through when I asked him to whip something up. I posted this once before, but I thought I’d share it again, mostly because I love this poem, and secondly, I kind of wanted to show him off a little. ^.^

she wants to fulfill.
She knows it’s not easy,
it’s an upward hill.

I’m heading to Vegas later today for a girls weekend get-away! But before I head out, I have to wrap up my revisions on DOUBLE DARE, book two in The Chronicles of Katrina. And isn’t that a lovely cover? (TY Victoria Colotta!) DOUBLE DARE (Sept 24) picks up right where THE DARE (out now) leaves off and I have to say, I think I smiled and laughed and yeah, did a lot of squirming in my chair, as I wrote this story, then any other story I have ever written. And I’ve written a few. ^_~.
