I’m just back from the November RWA Board of Directors meeting, which was held at the Anaheim Marriott, where the 2012 National Conference will be held. I caught a cold about two weeks ago that turned into a lingering cough a week ago and now I have sore muscles in my back and abdomen that I didn’t know I possessed. Who knew coughing was such a workout? I came home to realize that Thanksgiving has snuck up on me and is about to run me over and leave me in the dust. I’m very much wanting to hide under the covers of my bed, but there’s so much to be done!
With my brain still churning with three days of meetings and discussions, I’ll take it easy and ask if there are any holiday-themed books you’ve read this year that you’d recommend. There are usually quite a few holiday anthologies that hit the shelves in October. Did you try any that you really enjoyed? Or maybe there’s a perennial favorite of yours that you’d be willing to share? I need to get in the holiday spirit ASAP (which is hard when part of me is certain it’s still summer and nowhere near the end of the year).
Also, do you have a favorite wine you like to pair with turkey dinner? I’m the wine bearer this year and I’d love ideas for new wines to share. Happy Thanksgiving!
