COWBOY CASANOVA, Book 12 in the Rough Riders series — hard to believe I’ve written that many books in the series! — released yesterday!
I know, I know, didn’t WRANGLED AND TANGLED just release last month? Yes (and it hit the NY Times ebook list and the USA Today Bestsellers lists!) I’ve never had back to back releases before, so it’s a little unnerving, since the books are from two different publishers in two different series. I look back on 2011 and realize it’s been almost 6 months since my last digital release in this series. Time flies, huh?
So because that little thing called a deadline is screaming in my ear, and I’ve really got nothing clever to say about the craft of writing while I’m in the throes of doing it, I’m having a contest to win a digital copy of COWBOY CASANOVA — just leave a comment about whether you’ve put up your tree or done any Christmas shopping.
I’ll post the winner on Sunday. And if we get more than 200 comments? I’ll pick another winner!
Check out the smokin’ cover ~ awesome right? If you want excerpts head to COWBOY CASANOVA excerpts. The jacket copy and buy links at the bottom 🙂
Rough Riders Book 12
Lorelei James ~ Samhain Publishing ~ Dec. 6th, 2011
His rough touch makes her lose control…
In Sundance, Wyoming, you can’t throw a boot without hitting a McKay cowboy, so Ben McKay is used to fading into the background. Except on weekends, when he’s Bennett, imposing Dom at The Rawhide Club, surrounded by a bevy of female subs eager for the attention of his long…whip.
As for the curvy brunette eying him from across the room? He’ll eat his Stetson if she’s the experienced Domme she claims to be. Bennett offers her a deal—he’ll let her call the shots for one night. But the next night he gets to prove to her how freeing it’ll be when he takes the reins.
Ainsley Hamilton is amazed by how well Bennett read her every secret yearning during that one explosive weekend—and she’s stunned when they come face to face in their everyday lives as rancher and new bank president. Now Ben’s urging her to explore her submissive side outside the club, and there’s something in his commanding gaze that makes it too easy to let him take control—of her desires and her pleasure.
Can Ben help Ainsley overcome her fear that a relationship built on dark sexual appetites won’t survive the light of day?
Warning: This book contains a lot of kinky sex. No, seriously, there’s A LOT of kinky cowboy sex in this Rough Riders installment. You’ve been warned.
I’ve read every one of the Rough Riders books and I am so glad to have another one!!! I downloaded it yesterday and can’t wait to read it!!!
My Christmas tree traditionally goes up on my bday weekend, which is coming up this weekend. My tree comes down Jan 1 no matter what….even if there is a hangover. 🙂
well Merry Christmas to us! wow, that is one smokin’ hot cover!
I can’t wait to read this one!
Congrats on release day…. Looking forward to reading about Ben
That is a great cover, might be my favorite so far in the series.
I always sound like a grinch. I don’t put up decorations any more. My cats would break them or get tangled up. We also don’t exchange gifts any more since there are no kids. My siblings and I did get our parents a small chest freezer “just because” right before Thanksgiving.
Wow, great cover. Again! Congratulations on COWBOY CASANOVA!
Congrats on the release of this one! I can’t wait to get my hands or kindle on it, rather, haha!
Yes, my tree went up the day after Thanksgiving. Love watching the lights in the dark =D
Happy Holidays!

I LOVED CASANOVA COWBOY. Started rereading the whole series, got as far as Colt and Indy, read CC, and now I’m back to rereading series and will read CC again. Loved it.
As far as Christmas, nothing. I don’t feel much like celebrating this year. My husband was let go from his job. He has a heart condition. We have no health insurance. I have 4 children, thank God they are older. Christmas with flat out **** this year. Thanks for writing fantastic stories that I can get lost in. I really appreciate that, now more than ever.
let’s see…my “shopping” so far has consisted of buying out R.E.I online for sock liners, sleeping pads, and other hiking gear. When the whole family has the same expensive hobby, it does make christmas gifts a little easier! Congrats on the release darlin’!
Congratulations on the release of Cowboy Casanova. Love this series. I have done some Christmas shopping. Hope to decorate the tree this weekend.
My Christmas “tree” is a barb wire cactus, three dimensional, with chili pepper lights and a silver “Sheriff’s star” on top. It stays up year round in a corner of our family room but I haven’t dusted it yet, or turned on the lights. That’s my to-do list today. Find the outdoor lights, get the swags on the front porch, get the dining room and fireplace mantel decorated, and dust the cactus.
Best of luck on the sales! Ben sounds delicious.
I am reading it right now and love it so far!! I like that it’s a little different than the other RR books.
We have a tradition of putting up our Christmas tree and decorations on Thanksgiving and taking them down on New Year’s Day. It really is a lot of work to decorate and this gives us a good long time to enjoy the lights and the fruits of our hard labor!! Merry Christmas everyone!!
I would love to be a fly on the wall at the McKay Christmas festivities!!!
Half way through the new book. I just want to personally thank you Lorelei for giving us your gift of beautiful writing. Your books have personally shown me that it is ok to have hot wild kinky sex. I feel so liberated and my hubby agrees that our sex life has never been better.
On the topic of Xmas…tree is up. My 5 year decorated it mostly while the rest of the family has been down with a respiratory virus. So LOL all the ornaments are under the 4 foot mark.
I love this series! Im so excited to read Cowboy Casanova! Congrats to you on another great release! Wish you all the best and much success! 😉
Congrats Lorelei! I’m sure this one will be a smashing success!
I have not read CC yet…I’ve promised myself it will be a reward for cleaning my wood floors (hate it so thanks for the book to motivate me :)) Today is the day so tonight I’m locking myself away by the wood stove with a drink and a blanket! I re-read the entire series in anticipation of this one so I’m READY for the next McKay!
Decorating today! Tree and stuff inside and lights outside. Hubby has Wed/Thurs off so it is his Saturday to get things done. Shopping almost done. Can’t believe it is the 7th already!
Thanks for the new book! Love everything you write as both Lorelei James and Lori Armstrong!
I am excited to say this year we put up a real tree instead of a fake one!! And I am completely done with christmas shopping!!!!!!!
I have my Christmas tree up and I’m done with Christmas shopping! First year that I’m done this early.
I haven’t put up a christmas tree or done any shopping yet.
I need to read this one…finals are getting in the way of cowboy goodiness…sigh…

I put up my tree the day before thanksgiving and I’ve done half my Christmas shopping.
I love how they’ve branded your series, Lori. Truly. Love. Covers. 🙂 … We have tree (it’s not up) and Dan is decorating (I’m cleaning my desk after writing marathon) and we are going shopping tomorrow and Friday. I’m doing some on-line shopping today. Hope to be done by the time my copyedits arrive on Tuesday.
We put our tree up the weekend before Thanksgiving. Usually we do it right after but my hubby had knee surgery scheduled for the 29th so I used him while I could 🙂
All my Christmas shopping and wrapping were finished before his surgery also. For once I am on top of things!
Great to have another Rough Riders book! 🙂
We put our tree up on Christmas Eve, so still some time to go.
Happy release to you. No Christmas tree or shopping done yet. I need to get at it, stat 🙂
Yes indeed that is a smoking hot cover and the excerpt isn’t to bad either. I’d love to win. Let’s see. No tree yet. I’m always kind of last minute with that. I have though complete in the last 24 hours more than half my Christmas shopping so i have that going for me anyway. lol
Congrats. Who doesn’t love back to back releases? I know i love em.

Congrats Lori! Great cover and great series!
I’ve got my tree up and about 1/4 of my shopping done. Unusual for me 🙂
I haven’t put up a tree. I have started Christmas shopping.
We are putting up our tree this weekend, and we have a lot of the other decorations up already. By the end of the weekend we’ll be decked out:)
Shopping is getting there– I still have a bunch of stuff to buy. O_O
Congrats on the new releases! Love the covers…yum.
Yes, I have put up my tree but it only has 3 ornaments on it. I am too busy reading CC to decorate it! I have done some Christmas shopping, most of it online. I am now planning to add CC to the Kindle books I will purchase for one of my besties! Hope you are taking a little time to enjoy your success. I am so happy for you!
Christmas shopping and most of the wrapping done; stockings are ready to be hung. But no Christmas tree or decorations yet.
Smokin’ cover. Did you say if there were more than 200 comments we get HIM for Christmas? Just making sure I understand. 🙂
Christmas – No tree. All shopping done and delivered.
Are you kidding?! Christmas hasn’t even begun. I have been to busy re-reading all my RR’s and WW to gear for the most recent release of Master Bennett’s story. Of coarse is was pre-ordered and hit my kindle at midnight on Tuesday. Of coarse I put everything else on hold to read it in one sitting. Finals, thesis, dissertation? who cares I needed my WY cowboy fix. Merry Christmas to me. hehe.
I moved into a new house in the last couple of weeks. I haven’t unpacked everything yet. I’m not certain I will unpack the Christmas stuff this year. I’m kind of burned out. LOL
Congrats on the new release! I love the Rough Riders series!
I just finished reading Cowboy Casanova. I am pretty sure there was something wrong with my copy because I wanted it to continue but it ended. So sad 🙁 Thanks for another great book!
Hello Lori & Lorelei,
Thank you Lori for hosting Lorelei today & Thank You Lorelei for taking time out of your day to spend with your Fans. Congrats on the release of “Cowboy Casanova: Book 12”, the cover is soooo HAWT, like all your releases.
I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your “Rough Riders Series” & “Blacktop Cowboys Series”, having purchased EVERY Book, keep’um comin’. 🙂
As for putting up our Christmas tree, for right now I have a little one I put in our bay window until I can get Hubby to to pull the bigger tree from the attic. All my Christmas shopping has to be done online because I’m disabled with an incurable heart condition that makes me unable to stand or sit for more than 15 minutes at a time, have to have my legs elevated. But instead of spending my days feeling sorry for myself & “thinking” too much about things I cannot change, because I feel there is always someone medically worse than I am…I enjoy getting lost in the Sexy, Erotic Fantasy Worlds Authors, such as Yourselves, create for Us with your incredibly, imaginative minds.
Take Care & Have a Safe & Happy Holiday Season,
Renee’ S.

I already bought the book but would like to see you hit 200 so two other people can have the pleasure of reading it. I am done Christmas shopping but with four cats my tree won’t go up till just before Santa’s big day – nothing like trying to convince them they should not be climbing the tree with the shiny pretty balls on it.
Love the cover and the blurb!
I usually put the tree up on the first of Dec, but I haven’t had the chance to yet. So hopefully i’ll put it up this weekend. As for Xmas shopping, I haven’t done that either, but I’ll probably do that on the weekend as well. 🙂
Love Lorelei’s books, they are all amazing.
My Oh My, I stayed up till 2am finishing the book…another great one!! I have to ask, I found it interesting that you had a Ree and a Layla…are they from Pioneer Woman and The Lettered Cottage. You posted about Ree last year and I got hooked on her blog (I have never read a blog until this year now I check yours and Ree’s daily) I found The Lettered Cottage, Layla, from Ree’s blog…just wondering????
