I love this time of year. The cool, crisp air. The shorter days, the leaves, football, Halloween, warm fires and comfort food. I love to cook, but when it comes to comfort food the hubster seems to take the cake. Mostly his attempts/experiments are flops (although he’ll beg to differ). But he does do a few things well, and some things he does exceptionally well, like Hawaiian sliders. O.M.GEE! You gotta try them! They’re easy to make and oh so delish to eat. And you can’t eat just one or two, you will seriously want to face plant into the entire tray! I love this recipe so much, it inspired this blog today. Of course whenever I find something good, I share, so here it is, my new fave comfort food, Hawaiian Sliders. Try them, you’ll love them! What’s your favorite comfort food?

Karin, this sounds delicious!! Perfect for fall.
Thanks for sharing.
At our house, fall means it is time for a meatloaf, mashed potatoes and peas meal.
Once the leaves start falling, I start craving turkey.
B.J. I made an Italian meatloaf the other night. Another fall fave. #greatminds 🙂
I do not like my bread sweet, but I bet I’d enjoy these on biscuits or mini kaiser rolls.
Ice cream and spaghetti/ravioli/lasagna would probably be my comfort foods. I had both (spaghetti and a dove bar…..ok, two dove bars…they keep getting smaller and smaller) last night.
Anne, I love Italian anything! and ice cream, and Dove bars. 🙂
Oh, yum! That’s looks tasty, Karin. Comfort foods in the fall…chili, spaghetti, and BBQ brisket. Which I’m fixing for dinner tonight. 🙂
Oh, brisket sounds good. Putting that on my list!
I make my own BBQ sauce to go with it. 😀
Yum! I love Hawaiian rolls. Yesterday I made spaghetti soup with Italian sausage, orzo, lots of garlic, chicken broth, and spaghetti sauce. Just needed garlic bread!
that sounds delish, Kendra. I love hearty soup, and hubby makes killer garlic bread.
I don’t know about y’all but I’m getting hungry!
My favorite comfort food(s) are Mac & Cheese & Mashed potatoes.
I love good mac and cheese too, Gail!
My favorite comfort food always involves chocolate in one form or another. You see, chocolate is a MAJOR food group for me…lol!!! But, if I really had to choose “food” I would say anything with chicken and rice. This Hawaiian slider things looks promising, but I’m too lazy to make anything now, so I don’t see myself making those. They are making me feel hungry though…lol!
Peace and love,
Paula R.
Paula my daughter made dark chocolate crescent roll smores the other night. omg, were they good!
Mac and Cheese; tater tots; lasagna. All those things you have to turn the oven on for. I try to avoid that in the summer.
ah, tater tots, those i have not had in years. must go hunt some down!
Beef or chicken rice congee.
that sounds good, Mary. Now I have to go look it up!
Bellezza…Italian food is gustoso! Then again, luv lots of diff foods. Fall is when potage, pâte chinois & fondue next 2 a fireplace just seem 2 fit.
Ada, I’m with you on the Italian! I think I may whip up a big batch of lasagna for Sunday dinner!
