Often when I finish a stand-alone-book, I figure I’m finished with those characters. That was the case for Crime Scene at Cardwell Ranch.
Then a funny thing happened. I began hearing from readers who wanted to know what happened after the book ended. Then the book was chosen for a giveaway. I began hearing from a lot of readers.
So this week, JUSTICE AT CARDWELL RANCH, hits the shelves. The two-in-one of Justice and Crime Scene at Cardwell Ranch came out last week. Now just Justice is out.
The sequel answers the question of what happened to the Cardwell and Justice families after the first book. It is exciting for me because the interest in the Cardwell and Justice families brought me back to the Gallatin Canyon near Big Sky, Montana. Our first home in Montana many years ago was a cabin my father built in the woods just off the trail to Lava Lake. So I always love going back.
Justice at Cardwell Ranch reintroduces bad-boy Jordan Cardwell, back-stabbing sister Stacy Cardwell and their younger brother Clay. The three tried to force their sister to sell the ranch six years ago. If Dana Cardwell hadn’t found her mother’s new will, the family ranch would have been gone by now.
So it’s been six years since Dana has seen or heard from her siblings. When she hears that Jordan and Stacy are back in the canyon, she fears there will be trouble. (There is always trouble on Cardwell Ranch. ☺
It was fun for me to return to the ranch and find out what everyone had been up to. So fun, the series will continue with another four books at least. CARDWELL RANCH TRESPASSER will be out next April with CARDWELL RANCH CHRISTMAS out next November.
So welcome back to the Cardwell Ranch.
As a writer, I’m leaving never to say never.
