I had a blog all written for today.  I wrote it Wednesday, it was about being impatient.  It was about me being an instant gratification kind of gal.  And while I am, and will most likely always be, the prize I was rewarded with last night at 9:04 p.m. the one I have waited years for, finally arrived.  She was wrapped in 7 lbs and 13 ounces of pinkness and light.  My granddaughter Gianna Isabella was born to my new heroine, my daughter Rhianna and my new hero, my son-in-law David.

There really are no words to describe how I felt at the moment Gianna’s little head popped out. Relief, joy, wonder, excitement, then more relief, joy, wonder and a love so deep and terrifying I nearly passed out.  My heart grew again, as it did each time I gave birth.  I love this little girl, I love my kids and my husband, and I love all of you for holding my hand and indulging my new grandma giddiness for the last 41 and half weeks.  We did it!  She’s perfect.  I am blessed and feel so unworthy, but I’ll take it!

I’m going to hop off now, I have a granddaughter to go indulge.

 Xoxo

A Cop’s Wife Writes the Cop’s Life: Award winning author, Karin Tabke isn’t just another author with steamy stories to tell, but a cop’s wife who has “seen it all and heard it all.” Some of the hottest stories come from behind the blue wall of law enforcement rather than from in front. Married to a street cop, now retired, Karin is intimate with both and proves it with her sizzling tales and hot cops. Not only are her cops hot, but so are her sexy knights. Karin’s Blood Sword Legacy series is a must read for anyone who loves tales of yore when men were men and women were women, and love did conqueror all!

Thanks so much for sharing. I know I’m not the only one waiting for this post (although I caught the news on FB and your blog earlier). Enjoy!

Very happy congratulations to you and yours, Karin. She’s beautiful! Just like her Grandma and Mom!

    Go love that baby, girl!

Penny, mucho thank you! Your turn will come, in a few years, :) and I can’t wait! It’s awesome.

Ha! I’m too young to be a grandmother. And at 23, my DD is WAAAAY to young to be a mother. Hell, I’m not even ready for her to get married 13 months from now! LOL

I remember what my heart felt like when they put The Only in my arms. She had some complications so it was an hour or so after before I saw her. The feeling is so raw and terrifying, you do wonder how you can breathe. And then those eyes fix on yours and you melt, knowing you’ll do whatever it takes to keep that life safe. To watch your child go through the wonder of it…I can only imagine the enormous emotions you feel. Someday…maybe.

Karin – the perfection! The joy! The wonder of a new baby! And you don’t have to pay for college!!

“A love so deep and terrifying I almost passed out.” That pretty much sums it up. You oughta be a writer, ya know?

A million congratulations to your whole family. Keep that baby girl in pink.

Gianna is a breathtakingly beautiful name, too. Am so using it in a book.

    xoxo

Ah, the joys of natural childbirth. I had c-sections and got to spend 3 days in the hospital each time.

She is adorable, all pink and glowing.

Jill, I had a c-sections with all of mine too, and I have to tell you, I’d rather go that route then what my kid went through. On the flip side, she was amazing, especially since the epidural was spotty. she was in a lot of pain and there was nothing they could do for her. and the delivery team? OMG! perfection. Wonderful ladies. Love my daughter’s gyno. that chick is so cool. i wanna hang out with her. :)

ok, off to shower and head to the hospital. I’ll check back later with more pictures. :)
