I never pack until last minute. Unless I keep a list, I'll just have to unpack to see if I packed everything. I usually try to pile everything by the door so I can double check to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. My husband usually messes that up by starting to pack the car before I'm ready. We have a trip in 3 weeks and I need to start making my piles now. Don't have a skunk - one of the few things we never got around to owning - but dogs and cats will have to be bathed (my husband's chore) while I was their beds, etc. The snake's cage will have to be cleaned and if she is hungry, we'll need a rat. Double check on the peacocks - our peahen hatched 5 chicks yesterday. I'd really like to be going to RWA, but it is a 45th high school reunion and family visit. We are bringing along our 11 year old grandson. T-Fest sounds really great. One of these years, I'm going to hit a few writer's conferences and just enjoy watching and listening to writers and other people in the business. Wish I had kept up my writing 45 years ago. So . . . also, not a problem, forgot to turn in a notice for books for the autographing, so I'm not leaving anything lying around. It will all work.
