I think that will be her legacy. Michael Jackson was in a way a victim. He never really had a childhood and in a way never grew up. The Peter Pan analogy really does fit. I don't think he was ever comfortable with himself and who he was. He was trying to create a world he could exist in and it wasn't possible. He was a true talent with incredible musical ability. I'll choose to remember him as the handsome young man he was in the mid 80's when he was doing Thriller and Billy Jean. And we both are of the opinion, that he was grossly taken advantage of, not only by strangers, but by his employees, perhaps some family members, and most definitely by those whom he tried to help. I'm not saying there isn't the possibility he did some things that were in poor taste, but he has never struck me as a deviant. Call me naive but I don't think it was in his nature to hurt, whether intentional or not. I feel more sad today than I did yesterday.
