I wish I had an answer for the problem but I don't. With the economy in the tank as it is a lot more people are seriously reconsidering wants over needs. They may want a new book from their favorite author but may not need it. What to do? A free download you say? Why not? The hours of blood, sweat and tears the author invested in that book never comes into play. Toni McGee Causey's post above had it right. Of course, taking things that don't belong to you seems to be less of problem for some people than others. It sad that even people who would never think of reaching into your pocket and taking a twenty have no problem with stealing your books. Feh. Very amateurish. But now, a friend send me a link to a site she'd sent a C&D letter. It was a forum! Someone there was requesting Shayla Kersten's new book that had been released the day before.
