Tape up something with Gerard Butler near your nightstand. When you're in that much pain, you deserve a little mental vacation somewhere a whole lot more fun than Abe Lincoln. ;) (I can't take most pain killers--they make me completely nauseated, generally much worse than the pain they were originally trying to kill.) My husband did fine on vicodin, but morphine made him have dreams about increasingly elaborate funerals for the toe that was just amputated (at one point the cost was up to $10,000). It's been a rough go, but I'm glad to be through the surgery and headed out to health. B.E., I'm with you. I was just relieved this was outpatient surgery. It's interesting that different people react differently to different medicine. That Vicodin just makes me jumpy and the dreams.... Too bad you didn't get along with my old pal Vicodin. We had some good times together, but he isn't for everyone. Valium is my arch-nemesis. Forget nasty dreams - Valium makes me hallucinate very bad things while I'm awake. Now I make sure I let medical personnel know I'm allergic to Valium so they never give it to me again. :shudder: Feel better soon. Ack. I hate hospitals.
