I have good news to share . . . I posted on my personal blog tonight that my debut novel, The Prey, hit the USA Today list at #88.
I am thrilled and humbled. Thank you to everyone who bought The Prey and especially to everyone who recommended it to a friend.

by Cele January 5th, 2006 at 8:44 amHey Cele, maybe it’s not Allison’s book THE PREY but her next book that Amazon isn’t shipping yet? Amazon WAS holding my order because they didn’t have one book from my order (from another author) in stock but after I whined, they decided to ship THE PREY, GRAVE INTENT and THE HARD STUFF. They’ll ship the other book later when they get it. And they aren’t charging me extra shipping! Oddly enough, I emailed them just to ask why they weren’t shipping, not to whine or complain, but it’s still good customer service.
In case anyone is wondering, I already have Natalie’s book WIVES AND SISTERS.
I should probably write my own book instead of playing on the Internet. What a big fat slacker I am! But Allison, I’m so thrilled for you!

Maybe I should complain, or let my husband do the whining for me – he practices a lot and has mastered the art of whining (and before you think I am picking on him, I’m not, he’s proud of his talent and could probably hire out as a professional whiner. He excells at being sick.)
