It is that time of the year when I start craving turkey, dressing, cranberries and pumpkin pie. At our house, the dressing is cornbread oyster dressing and I like cranberries relish instead of that jellied sauce and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.
When the weather turns cold, there is nothing like the smell of a turkey roasting in the oven. I love turkey sandwiches with mayo and cold dressing with cranberry relish. The turkey then turns into enchiladas or soup or turkey salad until it is gone.
Even if we go to friends’ or family’s houses on Thanksgiving, I still have to make my own Thanksgiving dinner. Got to have the food we love – not to mention those leftovers. Otherwise, it just wouldn’t be Thanksgiving.
So what are your plans for Thanksgiving? What are the things you absolutely must have to eat that day?
